Backcountry Tubing Adventure

Adult/Child (ages 5 and older): from $104.25 Children under age 5 are not permitted. Prices include gloves, headlamps, picnic lunch, beverages and State tax. Available Daily, except Sunday. Meet at the Kauai Backcountry Adventures office, located at 3-4131 Kuhio Highway (in a bright yellow warehouse across the street from the Shell Station and 7-11. Transportation is not included. Times Available: Trip #1: Departs at 9:00a.m.; Returns at 12:00p.m. Trip #2: Departs at 10:30a.m.; Returns at 1:30p.m. Trip #3: Departs at 1:00p.m.; Returns at 4:00p.m. Trip #4: Departs at 2:30p.m.; Returns at 5:30p.m. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure at the Kauai Backcountry Adventures office in Hanamaulu.

• Your unique tubing adventure takes you back in time to the sugar plantation era.
• Relive old traditions and tube the flumes and ditches of the old Lihue Plantation.
• An exclusive tubing experience that occurs on private lands that have never before been open to the public. There’s something for everyone and every fitness level!
• Traverse an old sugarcane plantation into Kauai’s interior and enjoy breathtaking vistas and spectacular scenery.
• Witness Kauai’s spectacular engineering feat as you float down the tropical waterway consisting of open ditches, tunnels and flumes, all of which were engineered and hand dug circa 1870.
• At the end of your tubing adventure, you will be guided to a picnic area complete with a natural mountain swimming hole to enjoy your picnic style lunch.
• Items to bring: towel, change of dry clothing, sunscreen, hat, and water-friendly shoes.
• Wear swimsuit or quick drying shorts and shirt.
• Not recommended for anyone claustrophobic or those with back problems.
• Participants must be 5 years old and over.
• Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Maximum weight limit is 300 pounds.
• Actual tubing is for approximately 50 - 55 minutes.
• Picnic lunch stop is for approximately 45 minutes.
